The early access has been prostituted to turn into a free beta testing. No even that, because game is not even completed. The only genuine early access is the one who allows to play few days before release, with the game completed. Final Fantasy XIV does this with new expansions.

Dec 2, 2022 · Some early access games can be fully functional, enjoyable games just that it's not the final version of what the developer wants. For example, I've played more Rimworld in early access then I played the full release version. The early access felt like a full game, you did not feel like anything was missing.

For an early access and playing over past 2 years. Two years ago I would have accepted it as a 80% complete product. Comparison of that to now. It was about 25% complete. I am thoroughly enjoying it and 30 dollars when I bought it well spent. Have gotten tons of enjoyment out of it due to a rich community.

Of those: 75% (8/12) of the games to enter Early Access March 20th, the first day possible, have since had a proper release. 24% (6/25) of the games to enter Early Access in the remainder of 2013 have since had a proper release.

Will Early Access have private/custom games to play with friends or make custom tournaments? Unfortunately, custom games will not be available on day one of Early Access, but we consider it a high-priority feature and aim to have it implemented by the end of January.
