Jul 26, 2021 · Im not a fan of having alot of dumb ai henchmen. And nwn 2 seems to make it for having a full party. If i wanted to micro manage a squad i'd play an rts game. Esp an army of casters; ok lets rest ok now lets prebuff all these guys x.x. It's just silly watching all these spells go off like a super goku screaming for power.

Sep 8, 2012 · Sorcerer, Mage, Cleric for the casters is dependably available, but finding 3 front-line (high AC, high hp, high melee damage) NPCs isn't. You'll have 2, for sure, but the 3rd spot is going to be filled with lower-AC or lower damage (or both) characters for parts of the story unless your PC is in that spot. Now I want to play through again :p

Nov 6, 2022 · Either take only 2 levels of paladin or go all out for at least level 15 for the Holy Weapon spell. I once made a halfling paladin/rogue and it was a great survivor. I gave her 14 dex, so with a good chainmail, a nice small shield, divine grace, immune to disease and fear, uncanny dodge, evasion, tumble and small status, he is amazing.

My default build for NWN 2 for a classic gish Fighter 2/Wizard 6/Eldritch Knight 10/Arcane Scholar of Candlekeep 2. By the endgame you reach the "milestone" of BaB 16 and spellcasting as a 17th level wizard (so 9th level spell). If you wanna play a pure caster however, I'd go with Wizard/Arcane Scholar of Candlekeep.

So from this you can assume 2 things. High AC and/or high HP. On the AC side light armor for the main character will cause problems along the way as you obtain the least amount of AC from them. On the HP side pure wizard and sorcerer have issues with being thrown into fights face first. On the stealth side rogues have issues.
