The Miss South Carolina Scholarship Organization has been the largest provider of scholarships to young women in the state of SC since 1936.

The Miss South Carolina organization is the leading state pageant in the nation in scholarship money raised for young women- surpassing many much larger states. Davis Wash of Edgefield was crowned Miss South Carolina 2024 on June 29, 2024, at Township Auditorium in Columbia, South Carolina .
