Gukesh Dommaraju (born 29 May 2006) is an Indian chess grandmaster and the reigning World Chess Champion. A chess prodigy, Gukesh is the youngest undisputed world champion, the youngest player to have surpassed a FIDE rating of 2750, doing so at the age of 17, and the third-youngest to have surpassed 2700 Elo at the age of 16.

Indian GM Gukesh Dommaraju is the current world chess champion, defeating GM Ding Liren in the FIDE World Championship on December 12, 2024. He is the youngest undisputed world champion in chess history, at 18 years and six months old, shattering the previous record of 22 years and seven months which was set by GM Garry Kasparov in 1985.

Gukesh D is an Indian chess player who is known for bagging an individual gold medal at the Chess Olympiad in August 2022. His strong performance led the Indian team to win the bronze medal in the olympiad. A chess prodigy, he became the third-youngest person in history to qualify for the title of Grandmaster by FIDE in March 2019.
