In 2017, Philadelphia voters elected Larry Krasner as District Attorney. He took office in January of 2018. During his first two terms, he has supported victims, he has exonerated the innocent, and he has held police accountable.

Larry Krasner was elected District Attorney of Philadelphia on November 7, 2017 and took office at the beginning of 2018. Larry was born in 1961 in St. Louis, the son of a World War II veteran father and minister mother.

As District Attorney, Larry Krasner will fundamentally change that culture, from a culture of seeking victory for prosecutors to a culture of seeking justice for victims. Larry has a proven track record of fearlessly fighting for progressive reform of Philadelphia’s criminal justice system.
