Wisconsin's athletic association updates transgender athlete policy, requiring birth-assigned female status for girls sports participation, aligning with federal guidance.

"To use a sports metaphor, it's really un sportsmanlike conduct," said Brian Juchems. Juchems is a senior director of education and policy at GSAFE, an organization committed to making schools a safe place for LGBTQ+ youth. "Singling out trans girls isn't going to make a tangible a difference for school sports," said Juchems.
