A Jewish school and two other properties in Sydney were sprayed with antisemitic slurs, authorities said on Thursday (January 30), a day after police said they had foiled an attack involving explosives in a suburb of the nation's biggest city.

In a shocking escalation of antisemitic violence, Australia witnessed four separate attacks in a single day on February 2, leaving Jewish communities in fear and outrage. Incidents reported across Sydney and Perth included vandalism of cars and homes with Nazi symbols and hateful graffiti.

Sydney's eastern suburbs are reeling from another night of hateful attacks. Five women had eggs thrown at them in Bondi and offensive graffiti was sprayed onto properties in Randwick and Kingsford. Police are investigating both incidents as antisemitism and aren't ruling out the prospect they might be linked.
