The automaker says its quality is improving, and the company expects its number of recalled vehicles to drop over time.

It's been a blistering year of recalls for America's most iconic automaker. Ford — the Detroit-based SUV, truck, and sportscar maker — posted another NHTSA safety bulletin on Tuesday, it's 89th this year.

Owners of popular Ford models like the Bronco, F-150, and Explorer might be getting a letter from the carmaker in the coming weeks. But it won't exactly be good news: Roughly 850,000 cars are being voluntarily recalled owing to a defect that could conceivably increase their crash risk.

Walmart is recalling about 850,000 stainless steel water bottles because the lid can “forcefully eject” and unexpectedly strike consumers — resulting in permanent vision loss for two people to date.

The CPSC and Walmart have issued a voluntary recall notice for consumers to get a full refund and stop using or return the Ozark Trail water bottle immediately.
