Jordan Mailata is preparing to play in his second Super Bowl, but the Aussie star also has an eye on next year when the MCG is set to host the first NFL match Down Under.

The NFL is taking regular-season games to Australia, as the state of Victoria is “set to host up to three in-season matches" beginning with Los Angeles Rams-Philadelphia Eagles in 2026.

Reports are surfacing the NFL will schedule a regular season game in 2026 to be played in Australia. The first game in a reported multi-game scheduling plan will include the Philadelphia Eagles and the Los Angeles Rams. That will be the first NFL game to be played in Australia as the NFL continues to branch out to new countries.

The Melbourne Cricket Ground will host up to three NFL regular season games from next year, in a coup for Antipodean fans of the sport and Victorian tourism. The Herald Sun reports the Los Angeles Rams and Philadelphia Eagles - the two franchises with Australian marketing rights - are set to face off in October 2026.
