On the men’s side, Alcaraz has taken the tennis world by storm. He’s won back-to-back titles at Wimbledon and is now looking to make it three straight. His strong game at the net and his athleticism make him perfect for the fast surface of grass.
Iga Swiatek is the favourite to win the ladies’ singles title at Wimbledon after setting up a final against Amanda Anisimova. The clay-court specialist has never won the title at the All England Club but issued a warning to her Wimbledon rivals last month after losing in the final at Bad Homburg.
Iga Swiatek and Amanda Anisimova are set to clash in the Wimbledon final, guaranteeing a new champion at the All England Club for eighth straight year. Swiatek showcased strong showing in the semi-final where she beat Belinda Bencic to reach her first Wimbledon final.
Iga Swiatek is one of the big stars in women's tennis today, with the former No. 1 player staying consistently near the top of the rankings and with multiple Grand Slam titles to her name that include four French Open titles and a U.S. Open championship.
Meanwhile, Swiatek was found to have been “at the lowest end of the range for no significant fault or negligence” after the 23-year-old Polish player explained that her doping violation was caused by a contaminated supply of the non-prescription medication melatonin, which she uses to help with jet lag and sleep issues.
