The Atlanta Braves have acquired veteran right-handed starter Erick Fedde from the St. Louis Cardinals in exchange for cash or a player to be named later. The Braves, who announced the trade on Sunday, will also receive cash considerations in the trade. Earlier in the week, the Cardinals designated the struggling Fedde for assignment.

Ichiro Suzuki, CC Sabathia, Billy Wagner, Dave Parker, and Dick Allen were officially enshrined into the Hall of Fame. Trade interest in Nolan Arenado has increased in recent days. Seth Lugo signed a two year extension with the Royals, removing him from being a potential trade chip for Kansas City.
