Shalimar Bagh MLA Rekha Gupta has become Delhi's fourth woman CM as well as the fourth BJP leader to hold the post. So far, none of the previous CMs from the BJP have completed a full term in office.

For BJP’s Rekha Gupta and her Cabinet ministers’ oath-taking ceremony in Delhi, ‘robust’ security arrangements have been made. More than 25,000 police personnel and over 15 paramilitary companies will be deployed to maintain law and order.

The decision was made at a meeting of all newly-elected BJP MLAs at the party headquarters in New Delhi on Wednesday evening.
