Guilford County Schools held a community meeting to discuss next steps for Lindley Elementary School. School leaders are considering either renovating or rebuilding the 1928 school building.

Heatherwood, with 226 students, is at 46% of capacity. A Heatherwood community meeting is set for 6 p.m. March 7 at the school to provide more information and invite applications for an advisory team.

The LaPorte School Board voted earlier this week to close Lincoln Elementary while still operating out of that building. Now, many parents and staff members want to know the next steps.
