Tinder today is rolling out an AI-powered update to its Photo Verification feature, which to date has allowed the app’s users to prove to others they’re neither a bot nor a catfisher.

In an attempt to deter catfishing, or that awkward moment when you show up for a date and the other person looks nothing like their photos, Tinder is introducing a new Photo Verification feature.

50 million people worldwide are estimated to be on Tinder. It's unknown at this point if this is a real feature that the company is adding to its dating app or an early April Fool's joke.
