New York on Thursday sued some of the country’s biggest distributors of electronic cigarettes, accusing the companies of violating state laws that prohibit the sale of vaping flavors and designs that appeal to children.

New York State sued 13 flavored vaporizer sellers for allegedly targeting impressionable children with flashy ads, high nicotine content, and shady shipping practices.

The state’s attorney general sued 13 companies that make and distribute popular vaping devices, seeking a permanent ban on the flavored products.
