Seeing “Unknown Caller” appear when your phone rings can be a bit unsettling. Most of us are never quite sure whether to take a chance and answer these calls or send them off to our voicemail.

The Lookup button has an icon of a person and a magnifying glass that would be available to search when the number is an unknown caller, available on the Google Phone app's recent list.

No Caller ID vs. Unknown Caller A call labeled " No Caller ID " means the caller has blocked their number from appearing on your screen. In other words, they want to keep their identity under wraps.
