The University of Cincinnati sent a cease-and-desist letter to Cheatham Middle School, located about 30 miles outside Nashville, Tennessee, in October, ordering the school to change its bearcat logo.

CINCINNATI — One Tennessee middle school must choose a new mascot after the district’s athletic department said they received a cease-and-desist letter on behalf of the University of Cincinnati.
