Workers at University of California campuses in the Bay Area joined thousands of employees statewide Tuesday in a one-day strike, claiming unfair labor practices.

They also struck alongside one another for multiple days last month and November in Mission Bay, alleging unfair labor practices from the UC system. “We hope that with these actions, the university will stop its unfair labor practices and come back to bargain with us in good faith,

The union representing the workers says the university refuses to negotiate certain pay scales and raised health care premiums during bargaining.
