GULF COUNTY, Fla. (WJHG/Gray News) - Authorities in Florida say officers braved the cold waters to rescue more than two dozen sea turtles that were caught in the freezing temperatures and snow.

It’s not the first time this area has seen a large-scale turtle rescue. In 2018, biologists also rescued more than 1,000 turtles. And in 2010, at least 1,800 turtles were saved from frigid waters.
