Now, after more than a decade of anticipation, The Turf officially reopened June 7 with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 4267 W. Loomis Road — and its bowls are once again open to the public.

One of the meccas of Midwest skateboarding is finally open once again. On Saturday, The Turf Skatepark (4267 W. Loomis Rd.) officially reopened, after a DIY-led initiative over 15 years in the making.
