Tennessee State University men’s basketball coach Brian “Penny” Collins has resigned, effective immediately, to accept a coaching position in the NBA, per the school.

TSU will immediately begin searching for a new head coach. Tennessee State basketball coach Brian "Penny" Collins has resigned, the school announced on June 30.

The agreement allows the university to use $96 million in capital outlay funds for operations over the next three years.
