The gears are moving on James Gunn's Superman follow-up, with the DC Studios boss dropping some hints as to what fans can expect.

Now that Superman is performing well at the box office, buoyed by positive word of mouth and critic reviews, James Gunn is admitting that there was a lot riding on the film's success.

Superman director James Gunn has reacted to the success of the new DCU movie after a massive opening weekend at the box office. The film has also garnered largely positive reviews from critics. The cast features David Corenswet in the titular role, Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor, Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl, and more.

Available at Walmart, these Superman toys and collectibles start at $25 and features characters from the movie, such as Superman, Lux Luthor, Krypto the Dog, Ultraman, Mister Terrific and others. In addition, most of these collectibles are designed by McFarlane Toys, which is a toy company known for their detail, quality and limited availability.

Following DC's breakthrough with Superman last week, the focus now turns to Marvel. With the upcoming release of The Fantastic Four: First Steps, there’s a lot on the line for both the MCU and DCU.
