ZEELAND TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — The pilot who died in a plane crash on Sunday at a small airport in Ottawa County lived along the air strip and had built the experimental aircraft from a kit.
The Cessna 172 took off from Victoria International Airport, where it is used for flight training, and flew north about 40 miles to Vancouver and started circling.
