Google has announced three new features headed to Google Messages, including custom icons for group chats, notification snoozing, and RCS tags for contacts.

Google Messages looks to be getting an update to its group chat function that would allow you to add custom icons to your group chats.

Custom group icons are not yet widely available on devices running the Messages beta that we checked today. It will be a nice quality-of-life improvement once rolled out.
