Arduino developers and hobbyists looking for a portable battery shield to powered their projects might be interested in a new shield called the EnergyShield Arduino rechargeable battery.

Along with the code, [educ8s] has a spreadsheet that computes the battery life based on the different measured parameters and the battery vendor’s claimed self discharge rate.
