As part of its overall trust and safety effort, Roblox is rolling out advanced age estimation systems to protect kids.

While most social platforms technically require users to be a certain age (Instagram, TikTok, and others all have minimum age requirements), workarounds are laughably easy. Roblox, however, appears to be taking a firmer stand in the fight for child safety.

Roblox will scan video selfies of teens to assess their ages as part of a new Trusted Connections feature that gives users access to unfiltered chatting with people they know.
