The Monterey County Sheriff's Office is investigating a murder and attempted suicide in the High Meadows community of Carmel.

A woman killed Thursday in the High Meadows neighborhood of Carmel was the victim of a "suspected murder/attempted suicide," the Monterey County Sheriff's Office said.
