Consolidated PBY-5A Catalina BuNo 46602 during its time as a fire tanker for Flying Fireman, Ltd. of Sydney, British Columbia at Smithers Airport in August 1971 under the civil registration CF-FFZ.

To tell that story, the Pearl Harbor Aviation Museum secured a lease from the Navy to add a PBY Catalina to its collection of U.S. military aircraft at its Ford Island site.
