A Senior Summit is planned for Aug. 27 at the Marion Senior Center. Local organizations that serve the senior and elderly population will be invited.

It occurs on the fourth Thursday of every month at 11 a.m. Lunch is available by reservation at the Marion Senior Citizens Center for $4, and reservations can be made by calling 618-997-9019.

Marion Mayor Bill Collin's Senior Task Force will host a Senior Summit on Aug. 27 at the Marion Senior Center. The agenda is 8-9 a.m. registration and refreshments.
