The hacks to make LinkButton work despite this behavior would probably cause undesirable side-effects.<BR><BR><BR>IMO, LinkButton is overused. Links take you to another page. They don't "do" stuff.

onclick is server-side, so you can't put anything other than the name of the function in there.<BR><BR>However, LinkButton has CommandName and CommandArgument attributes.
