India's Adani Green Energy has told Sri Lanka it will withdraw from two proposed wind power projects, the company said on Thursday, two weeks after Colombo said it was seeking to lower the cost of the power generated.

Adani Green Energy has withdrawn from a $1 billion wind power project in Sri Lanka due to disagreements with the government over the purchase price of electricity.

The project approved by the Gotabaya Rajapaksa government in 2022 without a competitive tender process was under scanner for a long time
