The Smokey Bear Balloon, a hot air balloon, will be available for short, free rides starting at 7:45 a.m. on Saturday, Sunday and Monday.

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The new Smokey Bear special shape balloon has made its debut. After more than 20 years in operation, it was time for the last hot air balloon to be replaced.

The Smokey Bear hot air balloon, based in New Mexico, will visit the National Cherry Festival in Traverse City July 3-6, sponsored by the Michigan Department of Natural Resources.
