However, no one has been able to enjoy the course’s unique features since 2020. The Volcano Golf Course closed in May 2020, but not because of COVID-19.

Volcano G&CC is located less than two miles from another of Kilauea’s craters, on the volcano’s summit, which, when it erupted in 2008, forced an evacuation of the golf course.
