Two weeks after the ceasefire between Hamas and Israel took effect, much-needed humanitarian assistance is surging into the Gaza strip. But Palestinians say it’s still an uphill battle to ensure it reaches everyone.

Keith Segel, an American-Israeli in Gaza and the first of American citizens taken on Oct. 7, will be released on Saturday as part of the Israel-Hamas ceasfire deal.

It is believed that at least two of the six American hostages still held in Gaza are alive — Sagui Dekel-Chen, 35, who grew up in Bloomfield, Connecticut, and Edan Alexander, 19, from Tenafly, New Jersey. Four other Americans are believed to have been killed in captivity.
