Martone, in Minnesota for the World Junior Summer Showcase, said his college decision was to help make him the best player for when the Flyers are ready to go for a Stanley Cup.
The series will take place Friday, Sept. 12 at 7:05 p.m. and Saturday, Sept. 13 at 5:05 p.m. at the PPL Center in Allentown, PA, home of the Flyers’ American Hockey League affiliate, the Lehigh Valley Phantoms.

The Flyers' prospects will take on the Rangers' prospects September 12-13 at the PPL Center in Allentown for a preseason showcase.
The Flyers' No. 6 pick in the 2025 draft could have had a shot to make the opening-night roster, but decided to go the NCAA route instead.
Martone comes in at No. 9 on the annual list, while Oliver Bonk and Jett Luchanko also made the cut.
