The 77-year-old theatre impresario has been on Everton’s board so long he is not just part of the furniture, he is the fixtures and fittings and all outdoor space, too.

The 32-year-old is the latest Everton player to commit their future after Seamus Coleman and Jarrad Branthwaite.

Everton have confirmed the passing of their former defender Frank D'Arcy at the age of 77. D'Arcy won the league with the Toffees in 1969-70, making five appearances during the campaign.
