Square Enix has confirmed that there is no upgrade path for Dragon Quest I&II HD-2D Remake from the Switch to Switch 2.

As much as I enjoyed those games, the art style didn't wow me. Dragon Quest 1+2, on the other hand, applies the structure of HD-2D to a much more vibrant world.

And with 27th May marking Dragon Quest Day, we now have confirmation that Dragon Quest 1 & 2 HD-2D Remake will release on 30th October for the PS5, priced at £59.99/$59.99.
