The renovation of the dog park was approved at the city council meeting Aug. 20. The budget for the project is $1.5 million, which is funded by the San Luis Ranch Development Parkland In-Lieu Fund.

The dog park also features upgraded turf areas, new trees, bark mulch and improved drainage for the long-term health of the area’s natural landscape, the Parks and Recreation Department said.
