There are concerns motorists will be hit in the pocket when new road signs are introduced to deter people from entering town centre bus lanes.

CHARLOTTE — Charlotte City Council is finalizing its financing to purchase the Red Line from Norfolk Southern. The council will vote on Monday to set a limit of spending $93 million on the project.

The line that bisects through the city will be closed for track, signals, and electrical enhancements and other maintenance work from Feb. 8-9.
