A spokesperson for Roblox confirmed to TechCrunch that 15 roles, which comprised a “small number” of Roblox China’s teams in the U.S. and its headquarters in Shenzhen, were affected.

The Roblox app for iOS and Android was shut down in China as of December 8th. Roblox says that it needs to take “a number of important transitory actions” as it takes a pause to rebuild the app.
