The crash was reported shortly after 7:30 a.m. Friday on the southern end of the Sunshine Skyway Bridge. All but one southbound lane was closed as first responders worked to assess the crash.

No other injuries were reported. Both northbound lanes of the Skyway Bridge were blocked at one point, with the right lane remaining closed until shortly before 9:30 a.m.
