McKenna’s on the Bay restaurant closed Jan. 2 after struggling to regain its financial footing following the death of its owner, Nicolas Limer, 69, in November.

Boathouse on the Bay will continue to retain some 90 percent of McKenna’s employees and serve seafood dishes as its predecessor did, but the new menu will focus on steak to a greater degree.
