A second wooden craft belonging to Stratford Boat Club has retired to the rafters of the riverside restaurant.

A woman has died after swimming in the River Avon near Bath. Emergency services had received reports of a woman having difficulty in the water on the evening of Friday 11 July.

The Avon River at Stratford is currently at 5.42 m and rising, with minor flooding. The Avon River at Stratford may reach around 5.80 m Thursday evening, with minor flooding.
