Catholics across Northwest Indiana will get marked with ashes on Ash Wednesday, the first day of Lent.

Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of the Lenten season for the Christian faith, and Alexander invited people to have a full day of reflection by receiving their ashes in the morning.

Siouxland Catholic parishes will celebrate Ash Wednesday, Feb. 25, with services at different times from their regular schedules.
