The Nashville Predators will be without their captain Roman Josi for at least another week as he's been placed on injured reserve.

Justin Sourdif, playing in just his fourth NHL game after being called up from AHL Charlotte on Monday, made a nice move to cut into Nashville’s zone and after a quick give-and-go with Jesper Boqvist, deflected a pass over Juuse Saros’ glove for his first NHL goal.

On Wednesday, the Nashville Predators provided an injury update on Roman Josi as he deals with the effects of a hit from Florida's Sam Bennett.

Bennett notched two assists, five shots on goal, three hits and a plus-2 rating in Saturday's 3-0 win over the Flames. Bennett was a menace against his former team, helping out on goals by linemates Evan Rodrigues and Mackie Samoskevich.

Bennett scored a goal in Canada's 3-2 overtime win over the United States at the 4 Nations Face-Off championship game on Thursday.

Florida wasted no time opening the scoring. On the power play, a severe defensive breakdown by the Predators left Sam Reinhart and Bennett alone in front of the Predators’ Juuse Saros (21 saves); Reinhart dropped the puck for Bennett to easily bury 1:23 into the contest.

Mackie Samoskevich made it a 3-0 final at 16:08 of the third period. He took a pass from Bennett, drove in on Vladar and beat him on the backhand. It was Samoskevich’s 10th goal of the season and third in the past five games.

Justin Sourdif scored his first NHL goal and the Florida Panthers beat the Nashville Predators 4-1. Sam Bennett had a goal, assist and fight for a Gordie Howe hat trick, and Gustav Forsling and Mackie Samoskevich also scored to help the Panthers win for the third time in four games.

Hockey fans wanted this inaugural 4 Nations Face-Off final to be epic, and that's exactly what they got as Team Canada defeated Team USA in overtime, 3-2. Connor McDavid scored the game-winning goal to give his country the ultimate bragging rights.
