Viktor Gyokeres has reportedly seen his Sporting return delayed as links to Arsenal continue. Gyokeres was not among the initial batch of Sporting players to report back for pre-season training at the beginning of the month.

The in-demand Swedish striker has crossed the uncrossable line in an effort to pave the way to the Premier League, according to reports

Central to Gyökeres’s frustrations is a belief that he had an agreement with Sporting president Frederico Varandas to sell him for a certain fee, believed to be around €70 million (£60.4 million, $82 million). Varandas has publicly insisted Gyökeres will not be sold for such a price.
