A man has been arrested following a drug investigation that took place during the month of January, deputies said.

The West Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's office was involved in an officer-involved shooting near Young Avenue and Gremillion Road. The incident occurred shortly after midnight Sunday. Officials say one individual was wounded, taken to a local hospital and is expected to survive. No deputies were injured.

EBRSO said a suspect exited the vehicle armed with a rifle and a handgun, prompting a deputy to fire at him, causing non-life-threatening injuries.
