Gary Day, the man who was arrested for kidnapping a pregnant Beaver Dam teenager, pleaded not guilty to a pair of misdemeanor charges in a Nebraska courtroom Friday.

Sophia Franklin, 16, of Wisconsin was found safe in Nebraska after two months on the run with Gary Day, who is also suspected of being the father of Franklin's child.

A multi-state AMBER Alert for 17-year-old Sophia Franklin has been canceled. Police say she is safe, and Gary Day, 40, is in custody, nearly nine weeks after she went missing.

Sophie Franklin, who has been missing from Beaver Dam for the last two months, and the man who is accused of taking her were both located in Nebraska on Wednesday.

Sophia Martha Franklin had been reported missing on Feb. 3, after she was last seen at her home in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin, about 60 miles northwest of Milwaukee.
