It's going to be a long time before some areas are back to normal following a once-in-a-lifetime winter storm that pummeled the South, all the way down to the Gulf Coast.

These weather conditions are expected to cause disruptive winter storm in areas of the South. Freeze warnings were issued for parts of the Gulf Coast and north Florida. Cold air and a developing low-pressure system are predicted to cause a “rare and significant winter storm” in the region,

Even though the airports are back open, there are still about 500 flights between Bush and Hobby airports that have been canceled on Wednesday.
