The pairings for next week’s AHSAA regional basketball tournaments are complete after Saturday’s boys sub-regional play and a few girls games. Class 6A-1A played sub-regional games, Friday for girls and Saturday for boys, while the area winner and runner-up from Class 7A advanced straight to regional play.

Ahead of sub-regionals, regionals and the state tournament, here are important dates and locations for the 2025 Alabama high school basketball postseason. Area tournaments: Classes 1A-6A: Jan. 30-Feb. 5, Class 7A: Feb. 5-8 (Hosted by top seeds in area)

The HHSAA Girls Basketball State Tournament in Division I and Division II underway on Friday as the State Semifinals in action. Top seeded Kamehameha matched up with Campbell in the Division I Semifinals.

Friday’s girls AHSAA Class 6A-1A sub-regional games and Class 7A area finals set the field — still some games to be played on Saturday — for next week’s regional action. Boys sub-regional games and most Class 7A area finals are scheduled to be played on Saturday.
